Muskrat (Ondatra zibethicus):
-Breeding time: March – September
-Gestation: 25-30 days
-Litter Size: 3-6 per litter
-Females have 2-3 litters per year
-Muskrats eat the roots and stems of cattail, bulrush, arrowhead, duckweed, water-lily, clover, corn and grasses
-Muskrats are most active at night, but it’s not uncommon to see one feeding or building a house in the early morning or late afternoon
-Muskrat removal from: ponds, rivers, lakes, streams, bodies of fresh water
