Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis):

-Breeding Season: Twice per year – December -February and June-august

-Gestation: 45 days
-Litter Size: 1-7 (3-5 average)
-Babies are born march-april and again july-september
-Fall babies will often stay with their mother through the winter due to harsh conditions
-During the spring, summer and autumn, squirrels have their peak activity times about 2 hours after sunrise and 2-5 hours before sunset
-Grey Squirrels feed on nuts, flowers and buds of more than 24 species of oaks, 10 species of hickory, pecan, walnut and beech tree species
